For the past 20 years, The Abo Group has designed highly specialized laboratories to meet LEED “Gold” standards at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) in Golden, Colorado. In 1999, the Thermal Test Facility at NREL won the ASHRAE Award of Excellence for Energy Efficient Design. This laboratory uses 60% less energy as a comparable building designed to the standard energy code.
