Accurate Metals Testing Inc. was founded in Aurora, CO in 2006 as a father-and-son operation. Together, we combine 30 years of Metallurgical Testing experience that dates back to the mid-1980s in Santa Fe Springs, CA, where we were introduced to the laboratory environment and gained valuable experience with exotic materials used in the aerospace industry, as well as different techniques for sectioning, machining and grinding.
Accurate Metals Testing performs a variety of materials testing on items such as tensile (i.e. tension) testing; chemical analysis by Optical Emission Spectrometry; Rockwell, Brinell and micro/macro Vickers hardness testing; macro etching; Charpy V Notch for notched bar impact testing of metallic materials performed at room temperatures down to -320⁰F; bend testing; spot weld/shear pulls; and weld performance and procedure qualifications. We offer a full machine shop where welding plates can be sectioned and machined in-house, minimizing turnaround times and cost.
Accurate Metals Testing has lathe machines available to perform wood turning, metalworking, and metal spinning for a variety of materials up to 4 feet in length, as well as sectioning and cutting capabilities with multiple horizontal and vertical band saws which are used for sectioning and cutting materials up to 3 feet, 11 inches in size.
